10 Year Old Girl Gets Struck On Her Bike And Badly Injured After Hit-And-Run In Amarillo,Texas

Today a 10 year old girl was struck on her bike by a car crossing the street. Two girls were out bike riding this evening at around 7:25 when they stopped at a stop sign near South 8th Avenue. They continued to cross the street when one of the girls was struck by a passing vehicle as they crossed. The vehicle did not stop or pullover to check on the girls condition and fled the scene. Many neighbors came out to help after they heard a loud boom sound and found the girl not responding. The 10 year old girl was placed in the ambulance and sent to Northwest Texas hospital. Police are looking for any tips on the vehicle that fled the scene. The car they are looking for is a red four door vehicle possibly a Pontiac.
