Swimming is always a fun time during the summer.  The Amarillo Parks and Recreation department is gearing up to close the city pools this week.

With summer temperatures into the hundreds, swimming is a nice way to cool off.  Unfortunately your time to enjoy the city pools is coming to an end.  Here is all the information you need about the city pool closures.

Southeast pool and Thompson pool both close on August 5th.  Hours are from noon to 5 pm.  It only costs $3 for adults and $2 for children.  Southwest pool will stay open a little longer, August 12th.  The hours and prices are the same.

All the pools are very nice and come with a handicap lift.  They have slides, diving boards and/or splash pads.  Don't let summer pass you by without heading to the pool one last time.
