Best Fishing Spots In Amarillo…

They say Amarillo has some good little fishing spots!

I've yet caught my first fish here since I've moved from Colorado. Now I know that there's not much trout fishing here, but I hear that catfish put up a good little fight.

I need your help. I have family in town and want to do some morning fishing. I want to go somewhere that I will for sure catch my first fish...Haha!

Also what is the best bait to use here in town? I've used dough dipped in chicken liver sauce and that didn't work to well. Just made my hands smell for days. Don't wanna drive far just wanna do some early morning fishing. Where is the best place to fish at here in the Amarillo area?
