Casanova had some people in South Florida livid after a video surfaced of the New York rapper carelessly tossing a plastic cup into the Biscayne Bay in Miami while riding a jet ski over the Memorial Weekend holiday. He is now issuing an apology for his actions.

On Friday (May 31), the Brooklyn rhymer offered a lengthy sorry letter on Instagram. "At the outset, please know my delayed response is the result of embarrassment, humiliation, and total regret," he started. "This past holiday weekend, during my stay in Miami, Florida, I took to the oceans’ of the Biscayne Bay to enjoy the day on a yacht, and partake in water motor sport activities. Throughout the day, I made social media recordings of my time at sea. One of the 15-second footages exhibited me taking the last of a drink, and tossing the plastic drinking cup into the ocean. Please accept my most sincere apology for the aforementioned."

He went on to talk about understanding the impact of his actions. "My actions were not only harmful to the animals of that natural habitat; yet, disrespectful to our environment as a whole.I am an animal, and nature lover," he added. "4 weeks ago, I paid a visit to the Myrtle Beach Safari, to join forces, and shed light on saving Tigers and other rare species. I spent a great deal of time at their exhibitions’, and left with an even greater sense of regard and passion for animals."

The "Forged in Steel" rapper closed, "Once more, please accept my apology. My actions were not a good representation of my character, or the genuine regard I have for our environment. I am placing the blame solely on myself, as I self-consciously acted without rational thought. If possible, I would like to openly extend my service in cleaning up a beach during a future visit (with time and my schedule permitting)."

The people of Miami were pissed after the video made its rounds on social media. It sparked reports by local news outlet Miami News 7 who called out the rapper.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are reportedly investigating the initial video. Cas is currently dealing with a more pressing legal matter. Last October, he was indicted on robbery and coercion charges in relation to a Manhattan diner assault.
