You know, it's already stressful enough flying out of Texas these days; certain things simply aren't needed. Many people gained a fear of flying after the 9/11 attacks and have slowly begun to get over that fear.

Let's not even begin to talk about all the plane issues and crashes we've seemingly been hearing about lately, either. Engines have caught on fire mid-flight, planes are nearly being hit by other aircrafts in the air because of no radar, etc.

What Happened In Dallas Recently

Dallas Love Field is one of the busiest airports in the country, so a lot of people cycle through it daily. It's already stressful trying to navigate a busy airport, so it's easy to be a bit fried by the time you reach your gate.

What you don't need, however, is someone making threats before they even board the plane. That's exactly what happened on Tuesday, July 22, and it shut down part of the airport for nearly an hour.

What Was The Threat

Unfortunately, we have no idea what was actually said by the woman who made the threat, but out of an abundance of caution, they decided to close down a wing of the airport. This obviously caused delays.

Police were called out to investigate the threat, and ultimately deemed it nothing, which allowed them to get back to normal operations.

Was Anyone Charged In Dallas

Indeed, there was someone who was charged. Her name is Rebecca Phillips, a 67-year-old woman who was a passenger on a Southwest Airlines flight.

She was charged with a third-degree terroristic threat felony charge, and is currently sitting in the Dallas County Jail with a $2,500 bond attached to her.

Have you ever wondered what life inside a Texas prison is really like? I asked friends who are correction officers and folks who have volunteered at jails. I also asked former inmates, and browsed forums and articles with current and former inmates. Put all together, it paints what I hope is a fairly accurate picture of daily prison life in Texas.

As of 2011, Texas no longer honors last-meal requests because of one very expensive and elaborate meal that went untouched. We take a look at that final meal, along with other notable ones, including the guy who requested a pile of dirt.
