With Thanksgiving being just about a week away, excitement is growing.  The family, the food, and football.  But is Thanksgiving ruined because of the Black Friday sales?

Thanksgiving is a holiday that is one of my favorites.  All the family gets together and we fellowship over good food.  But it seems that every year there is an evil lingering-Black Friday.

This year a few of my cousins will not be able to join us for Thanksgiving dinner because they have to work.  They have to help get the stores ready for Black Friday!

This year many of the stores are actually opening up on Thanksgiving night.  Example-Walmart, Sears, Target and Toys R Us are all opening at 8 pm or 9pm.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy some shopping and love the deals, but what about the employees?  Don't they deserve to enjoy the holiday?  Black Friday is ruining Thanksgiving.  It should no longer be called Black Friday but Black Thanksgiving or The Black week.

It seems that Thanksgiving is always being over looked.  We go straight from Halloween to Christmas.  Christmas music is already playing everywhere you go.  So here is my question to you-should stores be closed on Thanksgiving to allow employees to spend the day with their families?
