New Domino’s Planned for North Amarillo on Mirror Street

Amarillo is growing. We say it all the time. It's always great to see new businesses coming to the city or current businesses expanding. Many people think these businesses only move to the south of Amarillo, but lately we have been seeing more businesses looking at North Amarillo. That is the part of the city that needs to see growth and something new.

A business in Amarillo is expanding, and it is moving into North Amarillo. Domino's has plans to open a new store.

Where Is the New North Amarillo Domino's Going?

According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, a new Domino's Pizza store is planned for 2017 North Mirror Street.

Who Is Behind the New Domino's Store?

The project is listed as Sweet Pizza, LLC. Research shows they are based in Midland, but they are also the franchise owner for Domino's Pizza stores in Amarillo. This additional store will be a much-needed restaurant for the area.

When Will the New Domino's Open?

The TDLR shows that construction on the new location will begin in December 2026, with a completion date of July 2027. This will be a brand-new 2,462 sq. ft. building. The estimated cost of the project will be $1 million.

We have reached out to Domino's and Sweet Pizza for comment about the new store, but at the time of publishing, we had yet to receive a response.

Why North Amarillo Needs More Dining Options

This will bring a great option for fast food in the area. Many of the other restaurants are located on Amarillo Blvd., closer to Grand Street, or on River Road. The closest Domino's to North Amarillo is located near I-40 and Nelson.

This will be a welcome addition to this part of the city, and hopefully this new Domino's store will spark more growth for North Amarillo.
