Justin Timberlake's return to music has been a successful one, so far. Not only did his work on the upcoming Trolls movie soundtrack set the gears in motion for his eventual fifth solo album, but current single "Can't Stop The Feeling" landed Timberlake back on the Billboard Hot 100, where it landed him his first ever No. 1 debut.

With over 379,000 copies sold, “Can’t Stop The Feeling” also earns Timberlake the best weekly sales for a track this year. Further, it’s sold the most copies in a single week since Adele’s “Hello” sold 480,000 back in November 2015.

While this marks Timberlake’s first No. 1 debut, “Can’t Stop The Feeling” joins four of his previous singles that also held the top spot at some point after their initial release. “SexyBack,” “My Love” featuring T.I., “What Goes Around…Comes Around” and “Give It To Me” all hit No. 1.

As for his forthcoming solo album — don’t expect it any time soon. Timberlake maintains he’s working on it, but he’s not in any rush to set a release date just yet.

"The difference in writing a soundtrack for a movie is the movie has a date that it’s coming out, so you have to finish the music for that,” he said during an interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra. “So I take these little pockets of time with [Pharrell] or [Timbaland] and we just kinda get creative. Because for me…it’s done when it’s done. I don’t wanna put the pressure on myself that’s like, well, what if you say, ‘I was gonna put the album out on this date,’ but because you have to have it mixed and mastered, there was that one song you didn’t write.”
