The Final Fantasy video game series is getting some pop star magic thanks to Katy Perry.

In a new trailer for the mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, released Sunday (December 9), Katy reveals her virtual cameo, a cute mini, digitized version of herself in a bright blue gown. The Katy character will be available in the game for a limited time, but it's still awesome regardless.

Katy also performs an extended clip of her new single "Immortal Flame" in the trailer. The song will be released this Wednesday, December 12, as a direct tie-in with the game's promotion.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, a spin-off of the popular Final Fantasy roleplaying games for consoles, is a free mobile game for iOS, Android, and Amazon Fire devices. The mobile game was first released in October 2015, but this new Katy Perry upgrade launches this week, along with her new song.

This wasn't the only pop star/video games news this weekend. Square Enix, the same company behind the Final Fantasy series, also released a new Kingdom Hearts III trailer Sunday morning. The new teaser features new game footage and a first listen to a brand new song off the game's soundtrack, "Face My Fears," a collaboration by Japanese pop icon Utada Hikaru and Skrillex.

Pop music and video games are two of our favorite things, so we're always down when the two worlds collide, especially in a fun way like Katy appearing as an actual character in the game. Will you be downloading the upgrade to see the virtual Katy sing her heart out?
