While the name, Ron Campbell, may not be familiar; his work absolutely is. Ron Campbell is the legendary animator behind the Beatles 'Yellow Submarine', director of the Beatles Saturday morning cartoon, and has worked on countless other classics. According to a press release:

Campbell has also been involved with some of the most beloved cartoons including, Scooby Doo, Winnie The Pooh, Krazy Kat, George of the Jungle, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, the Smurfs, Goof Troop, Rugrats, Ed, Edd & Eddy,Yogi Bear and dozens more.  Campbell’s former studio was awarded a Peabody and an Emmy for his work in children’s television.

On January 29th and 30th, Ron Campbell will be hosting an exhibit in Amarillo at Arts in the Sunset in the Featured Fine Art Gallery, 3701 Plains Boulevard, Space 72C. He will have artwork on display, and will have works available for purchase.

The exhibit will be open from 4 PM to 8 PM both days, January 29th and 30th. There is no cost to attend, and all works will be available for purchase. Here is a chance to own a piece of your childhood and hang it on the wall. From the press release:

Ron will showcase his original Beatles cartoon paintings created specially for the show and paint original remarques for customers who purchase any of his art work.  Ron will also feature other artwork based on his 50-year career in cartoons including Scooby Doo, Rugrats, Smurfs, Flintstones, Jetsons and more. The exhibit is free and all works are available for purchase.
