Look Out Amarillo, There Is Going To Be Road Construction All Week

It is hard enough driving in Amarillo with all the stupid drivers lately, but this week we will be having another obstacle to overcome-road construction.  There is going to be on going road construction throughout Amarillo all week. 

There is nothing worse than running late and being even more late because you got stuck in a construction zone.  It has happened to me a million times.  I decided to do some digging and find out where all the road construction is going to be happening this week, so look out.

• On the I-40 frontage roads, TXDOT will be doing fog sealing so expect lane closures in both directions from the Interchange to the Oldham County line.
• On I-40, they will be doing patching so expect lane closures in both directions from the Interchange to FM 1912.
• More patching on Loop 335 (Hollywood Road), expect lane closures in both directions fromI-27 to Grand Street.
• On I-40, expect lane closures in both directions from the Oldham County line to the Carson County line for shoulder work.

If you can avoid these areas I would.  Sometimes when TXdot puts up lane closures on I-40 traffic will be at a standstill.  I hate being parked on I-40.  Keeps these construction zones in mind when you head out this week.
