So as the weather gets nicer we are looking to get outside more. The more outdoor time we have means more time away from the home. It may mean more time away from your dogs.

So you may be looking to get out more with your furry friends. Of course when it come time for food you don't want and sure wouldn't leave your dog in the car. Especially as the summer heat gets here. Even with the windows down you sure don't want to be that person.

We see dogs out at the park all the time. So that is not a bad idea. Grabbing a meal and heading to the park. A giant blanket and a bucket of chicken will make any family happy.

What if you have been outside all day and you are looking for some shade. Well it's nice to see that more and more restaurants are allowing Spot to come and dine with you. Of course they need to be leashed. You definitely don't want to bring a non-potty trained dog with you.

You do your part and many restaurants will provide a nice patio where they are welcomed. Heck I have even read that Drunken Oyster provides a doggy menu. Way to step up.

Recently this question was asked on Facebook in an Amarillo Restaurant Review Page. I was quite happy to see how many restaurants are cool with a well behaved dog on their patio.

  • Fuzzy's Taco
  • Hummers Sports Cafe
  • Bar 3
  • Smokey Joe's
  • Georgia Street Taphouse
  • Joe Taco - Wallace Blvd
  • House Divided
  • Bar Z Winery - They don't have food but Fido is welcome
  • Golden Light Beer Garden
  • Spicy Mike's
  • Drunken Oyster
  • Brent's Cafe
  • David's Mexican Restaurant

  • Scooter's

So it's great to see so many places that while you are out with the family you can grab a bite to eat. You won't have to run and drop Bear off first.
