Self-Driving Lawnmower Is Brilliant — Or Is It?
Who needs super high-tech gadgetry to make life easier?
In this video from 2013, a man came up with a novel approach to cutting his lawn. He used some string to tie the mower to a pole, enabling the machine to go around and around and cut on its own.
It sure seems like it goes off without a hitch, but we can't help but notice that it merely cuts the same area over and over. Sure, it might save you some effort walking around, but you still need to expend some energy moving the mower to a different part of the grass that needs cutting. And at that point you probably have to change how long the string is. And at that point you might as well just grab the mower and do it yourself.
