Here we go with round #2 of Kiss Fm's Local Artist Of The Week!

Artist #1... Sir Johnson ft. Jp the Rappa "Down Low"

If you’re wondering what Sir Johnson Himself and his crew represent, you can’t do much better than hearing it from the source itself.  Sir Johnson Himself explained, “Originally I had a label and I just wanted to get a lot of cats together that had something to represent Amarillo, and later that dissipated and some of the cats that stuck around we ended up being real tight knit, we turned into real core friends.”
Fellow member A-Roc had a few things to add about the foundation of Concrete Connection. “Concrete Connection was a song before it was anything.  It pretty much explained the foundation that it sits on now.  Everybody that came together that really wanted to do this, that really gave everything and wanted to make a mark in this music.  This is what Concrete Connection is, we’re solid.  Hell or high water, we’re here.”
That’s what Concrete Connection is all about.  Representing the Amarillo hip hop scene under any circumstance.  That’s the dedication Concrete Connection have to their fans, to their music, and to their dream.  It is this undying devotion and unparalleled work ethic that separates them from the competition.  “We are workaholics, we don’t sleep.  We are driven to the point of complete sacrifice.”
It truly is a sacrifice to the members of Concrete Connection.  Personal relationships can suffer in the presence of total devotion to a dream.  You have to really look for people that will support you no matter the circumstance.

Artist #2...Fierro ft. Dj Sancho "So Beautiful"

Fabian Diaz "23" is a local artist also known by Fierro. It all started back at the early age of fourteen when he discovered his talent. He began by writing and free-styling on his own and through time he began to take his talents to another level. By the age of 19 he invested in getting some quality recording equipment. Fabian is currently taking audio engineering courses with ambitions of running his own studio one day. In the meantime he is working on his album. Fierro has worked with artists such as Lucky Luciano, Carolyn Rodriquez, Low G, and many others.  He is proud to be part of the local underground scene and will always give his fans his best!
