Weeknight Dinner Deals In Amarillo. Who’s Got The Best One?

Look, I'm a sucker for a dinner deal during the week. When you have five mouths to feed, going out to eat can get expensive in a hurry. Not to mention my 12 year old eats like he's got a stomach as big as a dump truck right now.

We tend to run a busy lifestyle with all the kids activities, so cooking at home during say baseball season gets a little tricky. The time just isn't there.

A couple of months ago, we had kids with practices, and there was no way we were going to be able to cook at home. So I opened up trusty Google and searched for weeknight specials at different restaurants in Amarillo. I was surprised that I couldn't find a whole lot.

Now I'm not known to be the best Google searcher, I have a tendency to get too cute with my wording, but I did manage to find a couple of deals in Amarillo that piqued my interest.

The first one, which wasn't going to do me any good since it was a Monday, but J's Bar & Grill offers up kids eat for $1 for each adult meal purchased on Sundays. Truthfully, that's a pretty good deal considering kids meals these days run between $5-7 a piece. You save quite a bit with this. I filed this one away.

The only other deal I found was actually for a Monday, and it's a deal we have officially taken advantage of several times now.

Hummer's rocks $5 cheeseburgers every Monday, and they aren't smaller burgers than usual. It's a good size burger with a basket of fries that will 100% leave you feeling full, all for $5. That's cheaper than a meal at a fast food restaurant.

I totally understand that fast food meals come with a drink, but even after adding a beer to my meal, it was like $8. Let me break down everything we bought.

4 cheeseburgers, 2 beers, 1 margarita. Total bill? $40.

Can't beat that anywhere, I'm telling ya. However, it's got me on the hunt for even more deals like this that feed the family enough food to make them full, and keeping that bill down. I'm tired of paying $75-80 each time I go out.
