I was browsing through Craigslist for a deep freezer and stumbled on a post that made me chuckle.  You've really gotta watch you purchases online!  Nobody expects nor wants this outcome.

So here we go, it's time for the first episode of...

Amarillo Craigslist Calamities The Mystery Of The Broken Coffee Pot

Episode #1

I have for sale a Keurig Coffee maker I bought from a woman here on craigslist. The lady told me she got it for Christmas but she didn't care for it. She said she drinks a lot of coffee and she rather liked having a pot instead of one cup at a time. Ok, I bought her story and the coffee maker for $60.

Got it home and set it aside for a couple of days. I needed to make a spot for it on my counter. In the meantime, I just used the one we have at work.

When I finally reorganized my counter space for it, about a week later, I tried to brew my first cup... The power comes on and you can here the water heating up but nothing came out.

Over the course of a couple of weeks I kept trying to get this thing to work. Cleaning it, using different k-cups, which I had to buy because she said she lost the one that came with the machine. I thought maybe there is some calcium build up blocking the water pathway inside... Nothing worked so started looking for the serial number and opened the owners manual to the warranty section, I don't know what kind of warranty these things have, but you never know. That's when I discovered that it had a previous leak and the previous owner had jotted down misc. information on the warranty page.

My counter is dry so I don't have any idea when this could have happened and I can't imagine why anyone would jot down anything on a warranty page in an owners manual unless they were trying to resolve a problem.

I contacted the woman who sold it to me and sent her pictures of what I had found. I ask to arrange a meeting to give her back her coffee machine and get my money back... she informed me that she was in church and that I was harassing her. Well, far be it from me to harass the poor sainted woman!

So my loss is your gain.

FOR SALE, USED - NOT WORKING KEURIG COFFEE MACHINE THAT HAD A WATER LEAK INSIDE. If you are a handy man fixer type person, you may be able to get this thing working.
