Can you believe August is almost over? I mean, 2023 feels like it has just flown by. Temperatures are going to start dropping soon, Labor Day weekend is right around the corner and that has a tendency to signify the start of fall.

There's also something that happens in Amarillo every single year that also signifies the beginning of fall, and it's closer than you think.

The Tri-State Fair at the fairgrounds is only about three weeks away! Carnival rides and food, rodeos, live entertainment. It's all packed in over the course of eight days, and this one is particularly special.

This year, the Tri-State Fair is celebrating 100 years of existence, and they've got a lot of fun stuff planned for their centennial celebration.

On September 16th, it's the highly anticipated parade. With it being the 100th edition of the fair, this parade will be one of the best there has ever been.

Then that evening at the fairgrounds, we get some live music from Amarillo and Texas favorites Aaron Watson and Kevin Fowler. Tickets for the show are available right now, and you know it's going to be full of dancing and singing.

During the entire event, there will be livestock shows, horse shows, and of course, the ever popular contests that the kids partake in.

Oh yeah, the carnival is back of course with all your favorite rides, foods on a stick, and deep-fried everything. Ride wristbands will be $40 for unlimited rides.

All the info and pricing you'll need for a good time can be found right here.
