Canyon Boy Who Suffered Devastating Burns Needs Your Help

I will say this over and over again, when a community member needs help, we as a city come together to help. This is one of those times. A Canyon family needs our help.

Friday, April 1st every parent's worst nightmare happened for the Parish family.  Their 8-year-old son Brantley was severely burned.    Brantley was transported by the BSA Ambulance service and later transferred to Lubbock's Children's UMC Pediatric Burn Unit by Lifestar.  He had third-degree burns on his torso, arms and face.

According to Brantley's Go Fund Me Page, his parents have been transitioning jobs and layoffs, they currently don't have medical insurance.

His stay in the hospital and his recovery will be a long and expensive journey and they need help with their medical bills.

On  April 7th,

Brantley's first surgery of skin grafts was a success! He's finally been able to open his eyes and said "mama". ❤️
He's a fighter.

We all fall on hard times and accidents happen.  No parent going through this type of tragedy should ever have to endure the added stress of how they will be able to afford the medical bills.   They need to focus on their child.

To help Brantley's family with medical bills the BSA Health System EMS along with the Canyon Fire Department, Canyon Police Department, Randall County Sheriff's Office, and WTAMU Police Departments have teamed up to host a fundraiser.

The fundraiser will take place at the Southeast Park Pavillion in Canyon, on Saturday, May 21st from 11-3 pm.

Come enjoy burgers, a raffle that includes great products from local businesses, plus a chance to hang out at the park and help out a great cause.  Your donations will help this young boy and his family.
