Hilarious Aerobics Video Teaches Japanese How to Say ‘I Have a Bad Case of Diarrhea’ in English
The Japanese have always been known for their innovative thinking, but this video proves that not every idea to ever come out of Japan is a good one!
In 1992, someone there got the bright idea that learning a foreign language would be much easier if it was combined with movement, a theory supposedly backed up by cognitive research.
Thus the creation of the early morning TV show 'Eikaiwa taisō Zuiikin' English', which roughly translates to 'English Conversation Gymnastics Exercises Voluntary Muscles English'.
The structure of the show? A brief introduction, followed by a subtitled skit with 'commonly used' English phrases. Although it's unclear how 'common' the phrase featured in this video is.
Unbelievably, someone must have liked the show -- it ran for 24 episodes!
