If you do audition and don't get selected, don't worry. According to a press release from the Sod Poodles, there will be multiple opportunities for people to sing at a Sod Poodles game.

The press release does say that all participants will be contacted following the event. It's nice to know you don't have to worry about Hodgetown ghosting you.

Also in the press release is instructions regarding face coverings. They will be required, and may be taken off once you are in the audition room.

If you're interested, you can email Austin at AustinJ@SodPoodles.com.

Before you decide to do your own "take" on the National Anthem for your tryout, you need to know that there are some stipulations. Auditions are limited to a cappella or they may be accompanied by a personal instrument.

Also, only traditional renditions of "Star Spangled Banner" and "God Bless America" will be accepted.

Opening day at Hodgetown is on Tuesday, May 18 with the home opener against Midland. You can get more information on the upcoming season, and get info on tickets, by going to the Sod Poodles website.
