Texas DPS Officers Find 70 Pounds Of Marijuana On I40 Near Amarillo!
Close to $40,000 in giggle weed was seized by Texas DPS officers on Thursday afternoon. The bust was made on I40 in Potter County, near Amarillo. That's roughly 70 pounds of the Cannabis! How ironic, I watched We're The Millers last night!
"AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Two people have been arrested after DPS found 70 pounds of marijuana inside a van during a traffic stop.
Thursday afternoon at approximately 4:28 p.m. a Texas Department of Public stopped a van traveling east on Interstate 40 in Potter County near Amarillo for a traffic violation. The trooper searched the vehicle during the stop and found 70 pounds of marijuana in the cargo area of the van. The estimated value of the drugs is believed to be more than $37,000.
34-year-old Casper Amon Andrews and 38-year-old Tanisha Late Blanton were inside the vehicle at the time of the stop. Andrews and Blanton were arrested for possession of marijuana and booked into the Potter County Jail."
According to DPS officers, the drugs were being shipped to California. Fell a little short of their destination I guess.
