The City Of Amarillo Will Be Adding “Drainage Fees” To Your Utility Bills

Oh here's some more fantastic news!  The city of Amarillo has found yet another way to nickle and dime us to death.  It's not a large amount of money, but still, it's like the whole world is just out to make another buck by milking us dry!  So expect to see a few more bucks to be added to your utility bill within the next few months.  What is it?  Drainage fees!  HUH!?!

Now, is this a bad thing?  Well, when you look at the big picture, it's actually something that is for the best.

You know how when it rains in Amarillo, our streets start flooding within seconds!  Well, here's the solution!

Every single cent of the money will be used to improve our streets drainage system!  That water has to go somewhere, and finally, it'll have a place to go at a faster pace!  Thus, leaving us with streets that aren't quite as saturated with water.

I say, look at this little extra fee with the glass half full.

I applaud the city of Amarillo for actually doing something about this!
