On Friday, July 3, the West Texas A&M University Police Department received a report concerning a WTAMU student. It was reported that the ex-boyfriend of the student had been physically violent towards the female student in instances that occurred on campus more than two years ago, in December of 2019, and again in April 2020. The ex-boyfriend is a current WTAMU student and charges of Stalking and Continuous Violence Against the Family were filed and an arrest was made.

While a press release from the University did not identify the arrested student, the mug shot shown above has been posted on the Randall County Mugshots Facebook page with charges of Stalking and Continuous Violent Against The Family. The arresting agency was listed as the West Texas A&M Police on July 3. The Facebook post identifies the suspect as Zhicheng Liu, with an address of Canyon, Texas.
