63 Year Old Man Arrested For Child Pornography In Amarillo

Right in our backyards of Amarillo, a 63 year old man was arrested for thirteen counts of possession of child pornography this afternoon.  This comes after the million dollar meth bust that took place earlier today!  Wowza!  Meth & child pornography, we're better human beings than that 806!  Don't you hate that people reading about these stories will base a judgement call about every citizen on these few people?

A witness that had seen the child pornography displayed on a computer and cell phone contacted Amarillo police about the situation.  The witness brought the cell phone to the police department.

And that's when APD's Crimes Against Persons Squad detectives were brought into the investigation.

APD:

"They gathered information which allowed them to secure a search warrant for the home in the 4200 block of Rondo Avenue.  CAP detectives and PACE Unit officers went to the home and made contact with Michael Clarence Kemp WM age 63 of that home.  Officers searched the home and discovered thirteen images of child pornography on a laptop computer. "

Kemp was arrested for thirteen counts of possession of child pornography.

Officers collected a lap top computer, tablet style computer, hard drive, thumb drives, film cards, camera, and a DVD from the home.
