7-Month-Old Baby Ejected From Truck During Wreck On I-27

A two-vehicle accident occurred today around 5pm on the frontage road of I-27. The accident happened between a white Toyota mini-van and a maroon Chevy pickup.

An unsecured baby was ejected from the pickup after colliding with the mini-van. The 7-month-old baby was not properly secured and was thrown out onto the road. The baby was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were initially considered life-threatening, but the child is expected to survive.
