NFL Star Jerome Simpson Gets Poped With 8.5 Pounds Of “Green”

Jerome Simpson is a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals and apparently he's also a wide receiver of LARGE amounts of the giggle!  I'm just assuming that, after he became a suspect in a massive drug investigation due to police finding a whopping 8.5 pounds of "the green" in his Kentucky home.  That's really not that much is it?  Only 453 grams.!

According to reports, cops searched Simpson's home after snagging a package that was shipped to his house -- containing 2.5 pounds of Mary Jane -- and then found another 6 pounds of "the green", packaging materials, scales, and smoking devices.

And it doesn't end there!  Apparently this is a team effort!

Bengals tackle Anthony Collins was also present when police raided the home -- and he's being investigated as well. Police detained the two players during the search, but neither was arrested.

I can sum this all up in a few lines.  Drugs & crime do NOT pay!  Unless your a famous athlete, then they totally pay, probably pretty well!  I'm willing to bet a slap on the wrist and a pass of the buck is in the future of this case.  I will definitely follow up when a court date is set.
