Secret Video of Kim Kardashian Post-Robbery Prompts Police Investigation
A secret video of Kim Kardashian in her Paris apartment, filmed moments after police arrived on scene in response to her terrifying robbery, has ignited a police investigation, according to TMZ.
The video -- which was shot without Kim's knowledge -- reportedly shows the reality star wrapped in a blanket while FaceTiming on the couch from her Paris residence, as police search the home for any evidence the robbers may have mistakenly left behind.
Kim’s legal team has reportedly joined forces with French authorities to find out who shot the footage. TMZ reports it’s illegal in France to take video of someone in private without their consent, and the person who took the video could face up to a year in prison and be forced to pay $50,000 in fines, should police catch them.
The footage popped up on a gossip site on Tuesday (October 11), but Kim’s team was quick to intervene and the video has since been wiped from the Internet.
Sadly, it's not the first time Kim has been forced to take legal action regarding an online report about her harrowing ordeal.
The media mogul -- who is reportedly suffering from flashbacks and bouts of paranoia related to the robbery -- filed a federal lawsuit against the website MediaTakeOut.com earlier this week (October 11), after the outlet posted several stories accusing Kim of lying about the robbery.
The site claimed French authorities suspected Kim had “let the robbers in” to her home, indicating she had staged the whole thing, according to TMZ. Kim’s team contacted the site immediately, demanding they remove the offending posts and issue a public apology, but MediaTakeOut failed to respond, hence the lawsuit.
