This morning, Tuesday April 30th, at approximately 7:30am, the Amarillo Fire Department responded to a house or "structure fire" in the 1600 block of S. Madison in Amarillo.
A house fire took place at approximately 5:40pm yesterday evening in Amarillo on the 600 Block of South Lake St. The building, a single family home, was empty at the time of the fire thankfully. With the blizzard still having a strangle hold on the city yesterday, I think the last thing anyone expected was a house fire. However, a mobile home on Loop 335 in Amarillo caught fire yesterday, causing firefighters to battle the blaze in freezing temperatures and surrounded by snow 1-3ft deep!
