The ‘Chinese Penis Fish’ Is A Delicacy In Asia [VIDEO]

Everyone is familiar with the typical strange foods that people eat. There's Escargot (snails), Sushi (raw fish), and even the occasional bug or two. I don't think that any of those top the 'Chinese Penis Fish' on the disgust-o-meter.

This is the first I have ever heard of this animal. After watching the video, I'm pretty certain that I probably won't eat dinner tonight. The idea that someone eats these freaking things makes me shudder.

I wonder Who was the first person who saw one of these and thought "I bet that thing is delicious!" Below is a little info from Wikipedia on the 'Chinese Penis Fish'.

“Known as Urechis unicinctus, This spoon worm is commonly eaten raw in one part of Japan and commonly in Korea.^[1] This is often eaten with salt and sesame oil in Korea. In Hokkaido, Japan, this is called ruttsu and served as sashimi or boiled.

In Chinese cuisine the worm is cooked stir-fried with vegetables, or dried and powdered to be used as an umami enhancer. In particular, the worm is considered an important ingredient in Shandong cuisine and has numerous recipes for using it.

This is also used for fishing bait.
