North Heights complaining they're neglected

Please. If you want the old tires and scrap trash off of your streets and lawns, do like the rest of us, get off your asses, and clean it up. It's not the city's responsibility to beautify neighborhoods. Keep your properties in good repair. If you neglect it, the city has no choice but to tear it down.
There is very little retail activity in the Heights any more because the place is overrun with crack houses and two-bit w*****s. That isn't the city's issue - it's YOUR neighborhood. Do something. Taking two years to mosey up and down the boulevard trying to get it renamed MLK isn't accomplishing a thing.
If you have a tree in your yard that's been dead since the 1980s, find some motivation, borrow a saw, and cut the thing down. If your brick fence looks like the leaning tower of Pisa, have some pride and either remove it or fix it. It's not that hard to do either.

Brentwood Apts: Laundry room

Look people, it's not that hard. When you put clothes in the washer, set an alarm on your phone or watch to go off when they are done. Same with the dryer. Not all of them work and not all of them work well so when your clothes are sitting there for 30+ minutes after your cycle is done, that is preventing people from doing their laundry. Not everyone has all the time in the world to wait around until you decide to come get your clothes/switch them around which is why when you finally remember, your clothes have already been taken out. Some of us are juggling school, work, kids, etc... and have limited time to get everything done.
And when you are washing something that a dog(or person really) has defecated on, shake the feces out before you cram them in the washer! Feces don't wash and I don't want to a) clean up after a grown person and b) wash my clothes in feces water!

It all boils down to consideration. If you wouldn't want someone doing it to you, don't do it to other people.
