Can you tell what this is in this picture?

I had a co-worker send me this picture. She said it was from her parents. They were on vacation and snapped this photo. At first my co-worker did not know what it was. Until she asked her parents.

Over the weekend she showed me the same picture. She told me I would never guess what it was. After a few hours of trying to guess, she finally told me. You don't see it until you figure it out.
