The preliminary autopsy results from the homicide that took place on February 15th, 2014 have been released.  Nathaniel Wayne Miller's death has been declared to be a result of sharp force trauma.  Rumors of the horrific murder in Amarillo are gruesome to say the least.

Originally, the dead body found October 16th at the 2100 block of I-40 East was believed to be a death by natural causes.  Special Crimes Unit of Amarillo joined the investigation, due to suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, and have officially ruled the death of William Pletcher Jr to be a homicide after preliminary autopsy results.

5 people have already been taken into custody in the case of Lance Hooser, and Amarillo Police made an additional arrest today in the homicide.  A warrant was issued for Donna Jackson Colson, a 50 year old Amarillo woman accused of tampering with evidence.  The most shocking homicide story out of Amarillo in 2013 continues to be investigated by the Special Crimes Unit.

Around 8:00pm, Amarillo Police officers were taking a report on an unrelated incident on the 6100 block of Bell where they were approached by Shawn Michael Hooten.  Officers immediately recognized Hooten as the wanted man for stabbing and killing his own father and he was immediately, and willingly, arrested.

Officers were dispatched to an early morning stabbing, around 1:00am this morning, at 3308 Eddy Apt-H in Amarillo.  Upon arrival, a victim was found inside the apartment with stab wounds.  He was transferred to the hospital, where he later died.  The victim is identified as Perry Hooten, the suspect (pictured above) is Shawn Michael Hooten.  Amarillo Crime Stoppers are offering a reward to anyone

Remember the incredibly shocking story out of Amarillo where a murder victim was thrown out of a moving vehicle in broad daylight?  This is that case, the homicide of Lance Hooser.  When I heard the original story, all I could think is, "that is something you hear about the Cartel doing!"  It was definitely a shocking and frightening story!  Yet, there is a light at the end of the tunnel

August 5th, 2013, Amarillo Police officers were dispatched to 824 Virginia where on a shooting.  Mathew Guzman was found lying on the living room floor with a gunshot wound to his upper body.  He was transported to the hospital, where he later died.  10 days later, APD officers arrest Jarrod Heath Jones for involvement in the homicide.

Results from the preliminary autopsy of the Monday evening homicide of Lance Hooser indicate he died from a gunshot wound to the upper body.  Special Crimes Unit of Potter and Randall counties asks for any help possible in the homicide.

Police have confirmed that a body was found in a residential area near west Amarillo and seems to be a homicide.

Amarillo Police Special Crimes Unit implores you, help locate the pickup truck you see in the photo.  This truck was spotted in Amarillo near the scene of the homicide of Alfredo Ruben Cueto.  The autopsy reveals that Alfredo died from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Amarillo Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving the Crime of the Week.  This week, they focus their attention to the homicide that happened July 18th in Amarillo, where a 24 year old male was shot in the chest and died.

On Sunday, July 28th, Amarillo police were dispatched to a shots fired call.  Upon arrival, they found 1 man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the upper body.  He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
